Portfolio Manager

Job Description

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing and customizing investment portfolios that are tailored to the needs and financial goals of individual clients. The role will also involve active participation in the firm’s Investment Committee requiring involvement in the investment due diligence process, evaluating potential investments, and contributing to the overall investment strategy of the firm. This is an experienced position that requires strong client-facing skills and a deep understanding of investment strategies and market trends.

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a client-facing Portfolio Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field

  • CFA or CIMA® designation required

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment vehicles, and portfolio management concepts

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills (both verbal and written)

  • Familiarity with software commonly used by the firm (Orion, Schwab, Fidelity, Y-Charts, Salesforce) a plus

Job Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Regularly meet with clients to review portfolio performance, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments

  • Work closely with a retiring Senior Portfolio Manager to transition client relationships

  • Develop and manage investment portfolios customized for client needs, based on their financial goals and tolerance for risk

  • Meet with prospective clients to educate them on the firm’s approach to investment management in order to earn their business

  • Conduct thorough investment research and contribute to the due diligence process for potential investments as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee

  • Prepare and update client materials, investment plans, and other reports
