Role Background

A local fast-growing healthcare technology company is looking to hire a VP of Finance as it continues to scale up its SAAS platform business.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our finance team and drive the financial strategy of the company. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the company’s growth, managing financial operations, and providing strategic insights to leadership and investors.

This individual will be a member of the leadership team and have people management responsibilities. In addition to managing the finance function, this individual will have leadership responsibility over Security and Compliance and People Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

●       Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.

●       Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs to provide actionable insights to executive management.

●       Drive the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting updates.

Capital Management and Fundraising:

●       Lead fundraising efforts, including equity financing rounds and debt financing, in collaboration with executive leadership and external stakeholders.

●       Manage relationships with existing investors and cultivate new investor opportunities (when appropriate)

●       Optimize capital structure and allocation to support company growth objectives.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

●       Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

●       Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and mitigate risks

●       Manage external audits and coordinate with legal and accounting teams on compliance matters.

Strategic Planning and Business Development:

●       Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives.

●       Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to drive growth and enhance market position (if applicable)

●       Conduct financial due diligence and risk assessment for strategic opportunities.

Treasury and Cash Management:

·        Optimize cash flow management and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic investments.

·        Monitor and manage banking relationships, debt facilities, and cash balances.

·        Implement hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks such as interest rate exposures.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

·        15  years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the SaaS or technology industry.

·        Proven track record of successfully raising capital from venture capital investors and managing investor relations.

·        Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting.

·        Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

·        Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
